From 1996 to 1998, the 100th anniversary of Bruckner's death, the 10th anniversary of the opening of Suntory Hall, and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Wakasugi & NHK Symphony Orchestra's legendary Bruckner Chikurus was performed over nine performances over three periods. Entitled "Two Centuries of Catholicism", this cycle is an ambitious program that combines one Bruckner symphony and Messiaen's work for each performance. It was an exceptionally luxurious project to face. The maestro's enthusiasm was extraordinary, and the interpretation deepened each time, the degree of perfection increased, and the complete recording of Bruckner's performance history in Japan was left. The whole picture became a big topic, such as being made into a CD for the first time by ALTUS in 2020 and winning a special edition in "Record Geijutsu" magazine. And this time, the long-awaited first LP. The NHK sound source was remastered for LP by ALTUS and cut and pressed by Toyo Kasei. It is released in all three periods in order of performance year so that you can relive Bruckner Cycles at that time.

We are proceeding with the LP conversion of this Chikurus while carefully listening to the lacquer board and test press board. We believe that you will be able to enjoy sounds that are completely different from CDs and SACDs. Please thoroughly enjoy the sound unique to the record.
