Medical Records present a timely reissue of Les Visiteurs Du Soir, the 1981 LP from French synth duo Mathematiques Modernes. Originally released on the seminal Celluloid Records imprint, this LP has the duo of keyboardist Claude Arto and vocalist/lyricist Edwige Braun-Belmore and belongs at the suave end of the minimal synth /cold wave spectrum. Original copies fetch a handsome price on Discogs, so a round of applause to Medical for issuing a fully remastered version of Les Visiteurs Du Soir with the project doing collectively by artist, label and Gilbert Castro of Celluloid Records who was responsible for the remastering! At times oddly baroque, others razor sharp new wave, this nine track collection is essential for the brilliant "Disco Rough". (Presented on 180 gram grey opaque high-quality vinyl in a limited edition of 1000 hand-numbered copies. Bonus insert included as well with interview of Claude Arto by Dave Segal amongst other interesting things)
