The cheekily titled outfit Golf Clap may be more into their upfront New Jersey house styles than the disco pop concerns of their near namesakes Soul Clap, but they've certainly got the same ear for melody and accessibility. The title track makes all the right moves, from dreamy DX7 chord lines to rubbery bass, with an authentic garage diva hook pulling all the elements together. "After Hours" is in a similar frame of mind, pulling out all the stops for the rhythm to pop but keeping the same emotional keys going throughout. Scott Diaz remixes "Give It To Ya" into a serious 2-step flavour without losing the house core of the original, while DJ Nav gets into a more soulful mindset with his version.
