Doffing his cap to the golden age of Chicago house when it was full of romance and balladry in amongst the primal drum machine work, Deep88 is a producer who knows how to affect some serious time travel with his music. If his name wasn't already enough of a giveaway, these remixes of Ralphi Rosario pack a mean dose of old school finery, not least with the plaintive piano that dominates the track. The unforgettable vocal is fully present on the A side, along with the necessary salvo of Roland drums and punchy bass that a house classic doth make. On the flipside everything but the kick drum is back in action for the "Pianopella", making for a useful and blendable tool for those so predisposed.
