GRADING: Our scale... We visually grade our records and covers and here's how we score them:

Mint: (M) Absolutely perfect in every way. Certainly never been played. Possibly even still sealed, almost never seen as a grade, because truly what in life is really absolutely perfect?

Near Mint: (NM) Nearly perfect record, with no signs of play, looks like you just got it home from the record store and just carefully removed it from the sleeve for the very first time. Covers with this grade will have no creases, folds, tears or signs of abuse or heavy use at all, no holes, all of the included inserts will still be present and in good condition.

Very Good Plus: (VG+) Very Good Plus records will show some signs of play, there may be light scratches, some ring wear to the label, nothing that would affect the listening experience. Covers and sleeves with this grade may have slight seem splits at the corners, up turned corners, slight signs of ring wear, some wear along the edges, etc, but nothing too drastic or noticeable.

Very Good: (VG) Very Good records may have some surface noise when played (not overwhelming the music), groove wear, and light scratches that can be felt with a fingernail. Covers with this grade may have labels affixed, some writing, deeper seam splits, ring wear, spine wear, or an off center label - but they will not have all of these problems at the same time!

Good and/or Good+: (G) (G+) One thing to remember here - good does not mean bad! A good record can be placed onto a turntable and played through without skipping. They will have pretty significant surface noise, scratches and groove wear. Covers and/or sleeves will have seam splits especially at the bottom and possibly along the sides. Tape, writing, ring wear, and other defects may have started to overwhelm the cover.

Good Items are typically reserved for those hard to find - rare items that you just can't believe you found in any condition! Or for those items where the sleeve may be in one condition and the record in another or vice versa...
