Comprised of an interconnected circle of producers, the Hardworksoftdrink stable is already carving out an identity based around sleek and playful minimal house with an irreverent attitude woven into the presentation. Thilo Dietrich is at the controls for the third release, although other regulars on the label are present to help lay down some wafer thin grooves. "Baldwin" burrows into a cyclical, icy sound space primed for unease, and "Jamie Jones" likewise keeps things haunting and dubby, shaped out by chilling pads. "Tiltis" packs a meatier bottom end and a more pronounced groove, while "Naturon" slides off into a lighter construction with a broken beat sensibility, warm chords and some leftfield textures.
