Though he's most widely known for his horizontally challenged endeavours as part of Kruder and Dorfmeister, Viennese producer Peter Kruder is eminently capable of more energetic endeavours when he's operating on a solo flex. Recent times have seen Kruder's solo material shared out evenly between International Deejay Gigolos, Macro and Compost and it's DJ Hell's long running label that is responsible for the latest slab from the Kruder lab. Three tracks deep, there's some interesting influences at play on Die Wiener Festwochen; take for example lead track "Orchestral" which could easily be an edited off cut from the soundtrack to the classic '70s Matthau vehicle The Taking Of Pelham 123. On the B Side, "Spinnst! (Akt 1-3)" is a pretty mental exercise in sound design and sounds even weirder rubbing up against the doleful piano tones of "Home".
