Note: All records are professionally cleaned prior to grading on an Okki Nokki RCM using L’Art Du Son cleaning fluid. This does not restore a record to brand new, but rather removes the majority of dust and dirt to leave a record (and it’s audio) as clean as possible.

Box

The box appears to be in EX condition with only a couple of splits as to be expected for a box set of this age.

Sleeve

The sleeves appear to be in EX condition with general shelf and usage wear from over the years.

They have been stored in the box, however a couple of the albums have some slight wear and seam splits from record storage.

The White Album includes all four photos, and Sgt Peppers includes the cut out sheet.

Vinyl

Visually the records appear to be in EX+ condition with the majority being mint and a couple with a few light sleeve marks.

Upon listening to the albums over the past few years of ownership, I can confirm that the audio is generally excellent with only a few clicks and pops audible mainly between tracks and quieter passages.

I have freshly cleaned each album on an Okki Nokki RCM using L’Art Du Son cleaning fluid, so they are ready for the new owner.

Record Collectors Grading System
MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
The use of + or - allows for items that fall between the above grades.
Play Testing
Unfortunately as this is not my full time job, I am unable to fully play each side.

I play test sections on both sides of the record to gain an example of overall quality.

Audio quality may vary based on your Hi-Fi system.
My system consists of the following:
Michell Focus One turntable with Linn Basik Plus arm and Nagaoka MP20 cartridge. Roksan Caspian amp with Mission 782 SE speakers and Chord cables and interconnects. Creek OBH-21 SE headphone amplifier with Sennheiser HD600 headphones.
