I'm still sorting out things out & have now pruning my 78rpm jazz record collection. This is the wonderful Golden Gate Orchestra's HOT recording of "CHARLESTON" (-B) on Edison 51542 with Frank Silver's Dance Orchestra playing "Mamie" (-C) on the reverse.
A rare record in ANY condition but this one is near mint E+ condition visually graded using the accepted standard VJM grading system.
Superb stuff from the magnificent ADRIAN ROLLINI on Charleston (see my other items if YOU want to play like him - I've a RARE top F Conn BASS SAXOPHONE for sale etc....)
The Golden Gate Orchestra was THE white hot dance/jazz orchestra in New York in the 1920's & recorded for all the record companies under various names: The California Ramblers, Goofus Five, Varsity 8, University 6, Little Ramblers, Ted Wallace etc etc & contained the top musicians like Red Nichols, the Dorseys etc & of course Adrian Rollini who went on to record with Bix, Annette Hanshaw, Elizalde etc.
Carefully packed & posted & tracked to anywhere within UK for £7, anywhere abroad £27 tracked.
PayPal, cash or cheque
See my other items for a vintage Conn Eagle BASS saxophone mouthpiece, hot dance/jazz LP's by BIX, Al Bowlly, Elizalde, California Ramblers etc. plus ORIGINAL 78rpm Edison Diamond Disc records by the GOLDEN GATE ORCHESTRA etc & a fully working RARE 1931/32 CONN BASS SAXOPHONE keyed to TOP F with case.
All the secondhand items I'm offering have been used in a practical environment & they therefore have appropriate scuffs & minor knocks commensurate with their age.
