Fresh from '75, Spaghetti Head's "Big Noise From Winnekta" is one of those tunes you wish went on for hours. Clem Clattini's pounding drum textures, Les Hurdle's funky-pluck bass riffage and the stupidly hooky whistled melody (a la Sandy Nelson) build and build into a whirlwind groove that captivates and mesmerises with a Seven Dwarves style working militancy. One can only imagine how spell binding this would be played live. A great dust-off from Private Stock here.
