Very good condition of 5 amazing LPs by singer-songwriter
and guitarist Joan Armatrading. Starting with an early album
‘Back To The Night’ from 1975 is her second LP and has a
wonderful mix of folk, jazz, calypso and up-tempo pop.
With eleven tracks and every one a winner that includes
“Travel So Far”, “Back to the Night” and “Let’s Go Dancing”.
The second selection was Armatrading first breakthrough that
got her international notice with songs like her first big hit
“Love And Affection”, other tunes include “Down To Zero”,
“Somebody Who Loves You” and “Save Me”.
The third LP is her 1978 ‘To The Limit’ which introduces reggae
to the artist sonic vocabulary with songs like “Bottom to the Top”,
other tracks include “Your Letter”, “You Rope You Tie Me” and
“Taking My Baby Up Town”.
The fouth selection is the 1980 bestselling ‘Me Myself I’ which became her
highest charting album in both the U.S. and the U.K. with the title
hit song “Me Myself I” and great tunes like “All the Way From America”,
“Simon” and “Is It Tomorrow Yet”.
The last album is the 1983 ‘The Key’ her eighth studio album with eleven
fantastic tracks like “Drop The Pilot”, “The Game Of Love”, “Bad Habits”
and “I Love My Baby”.
A truly rare find of 5 amazing pop albums of substance and power.
Experience the music the way it was meant to be heard in all the warm tones
of its analog quality stereophonic vinyl sound and not the inferior audio of MP3s.
