CONDITION DETAILS Still in ORIGINAL SHRINK-WRAP (opened), with HYPE-STICKER. Vinyl plays with some crackles and a few light-clicks (play-graded). Cover looks great; a couple creases near edges; no scuffing (front/back); slight discoloration on back. Inner-sleeve is original (lyrics/photos). Spine is easy-to-read with very mild-wear. Little shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge; minor wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and a few divots. (Not a cut-out.)

ABOUT THE RECORD Sleeping with the Past features the UK No. 1 single, Sacrifice, which helped the album also hit No. 1 there. John and Taupin meant for the songs to reflect the style of 1960s icons such as Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding and Sam Cooke, whom they admired. It also became his first platinum album in the UK since 1983. In the US it was also certified platinum. Guy Babylon made his debut on this album and would continue to play keyboards with John for the next 20 years.
