WELCOME TO MY ANNUAL CHRISTMAS AUCTION FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO THINK I'M NEW, THAT IS NOT THE CASE. MY NAME IS WALT KAPLIN AND MY OLD EBAY ID WAS 40MERC. I HAD 5,831 TOTAL FEEDBACK, DATING BACK TO AUGUST 1997. DUE TO ILLNESS, I HAD TO RETIRE. I'M HEALTHY AGAIN AND WISH TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE YOU WITH ALBUMS FROM MY 60 YEAR PLUS COLLECTION OF 50s & 60s ROCK & ROLL AND RHYTHUM & BLUES ALBUMS.
MY FEEDBACK FOR MANY YEARS WAS OUTSTANDING AND I EXPECT TO CONTINUE WELL INTO THE FUTURE. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME AT 253.509.0419. I AM LOCATED IN GIG HARBOR, WASHINGTON STATE. USA.
AS I HAVE DONE IN THE PAST, I WILL CONTINUE TO SHIP WORLD WIDE WITH JUST ONE EXCEPTION, I DON'T SHIP TO ITALY. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LOOK UP MY OLD ID (40MERC). MY TRACK RECORD WILL SPEAK FOR ITSELF. THANK YOU, I'M SINCERELY LOOKING FORWARD TO SERVING YOU!
FROM MY PERSONAL 60 PLUS YEAR OLD COLLECTION: LABEL: CAPITAL T-848 (GREEN LABEL) WITH ORIGINAL CAPITAL SLEEVE. YEAR OF PRESSING: 1957 ORIGINAL: YES GRADING SOURCE: GOLDMINE COLLECTORS PRICE GUIDE.
THIS RECORD WAS PLAYED PRIOR TO LISTING AND I DIDN'T HEAR ANY LOUD POPS, STICKS OR NOISY HISSES. IN FACT, IT WAS A NEAR MINT LISTENING EXPERIENCE. YOU SHOULD BE PLEASED!
YOU ARE BIDDING FOR A GORGEOUS 1957 ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING OF THE FIVE KEYS ON STAGE ON THE GREEN CAPITAL LABEL T-848. THIS WONDERFUL CLASSIC IS VALUED FOR $300+ IN THE GOLDMINE PRICE GUIDE. .
THE GROUP INCLUDED BROTHERS RUDY AND BERNIE WEST, MARYLAND PIERCE, DICKIE SMITH, RIPLEY INGRAM, AND JOE JONES.
THE RECORD IS IN STUNNING CONDITION. THERE ARE NO SCRATCHES OR DEEP GROOVES, JUST SOME SCUFFS ON SIDE TWO AND FINE SURFACE LINES.THE LABELS ARE MINT, NO SPINDLE MARKS. A WELL PRESERVED COLLECTIBLE.
THE THICK ALBUM COVER IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE IS SLIGHT RING WEAR IN FRONT, A 2" UPPER RIGHT CORNER SEAM SPLIT AND A 2" LOWER RIGHT CORNER. I GOT CARELESS SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND AS A RESULT CAUSED SOME WATER DAMAGE IN BACK, ON THE BOTTOM THE ALBUM WILL STILL MAKE A FINE DISPLAY FOR THE RECORD ROOM AT HOME DUE TO ITS RARITY. BY THE WAY, YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE RUDY WESTS THUMB THAT CAUSED QUITE A BIT OF CONCERN IN THE 50s. RUDY IS THE FAR LEFT.
IT'S TIME FOR ME TO SHARE PART OF A COLLECTION THAT I HAVE ENJOYED FOR MANY YEARS. NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!
THE SONGS INCLUDE: SIDE 1, JUST FOR A THRILL, WHO DO YOU KNOW IN HEAVEN, MAYBE YOU'LL BE THERE, TIGER LILY, C'EST LA VIE, DREAM.
SIDE 2, LET THERE BE YOU, ALL I NEED IS YOU, THE GYPSY, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, TO EACH HIS OWN, BOOM-BOOM.
FOR SERIOUS COLLECTORS LOOKING FOR ONE OF THE RAREST ALBUMS EVER RECORDED DURING THE 50S, THIS IS A MUST AND WILL ALSO MAKE A FINE HOLIDAY GIFT FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL.
BASED ON THE GOLDMINE GUIDE, THE ALBUM COVER IS GRADED VG, THE QUALITY OF THE LISTENING EXPERIENCE VG++ AND THE RECORD A STRONG VG+. THERE IS NO RESERVE.
