Seventeen years hence, when Sunn O))) originally came into being, few would have suspected they'd be heralded as one of the leading lights of the avant-garde underground, yet 2015 finds their seventh album displaying as bold and stark a statement as anything these hooded pioneers have thus far committed to wax, not to mention perhaps their most otherworldly diversion in a long line of transmissions from the ether.
