ORANGE JUICE: Poor Old Soul 2':26"/ AZTEC CAMERA: Just Like Gold 3':16"
STRAWBERRY UK 1981 7" (original double sided acetate)
Ultra rare original 2-sided acetate, split of two great POSTCARD label releases 81-2 and 81-3 - this acetate comes from Alan Horne's collection in the 1990's through a very known and top UK dealer of the period, and I have never seen another of it. It's 100% genuine and I'm not sure if the cuts are same as the actual releases or different/rejected cuts.
The split acetate contains on one side:
- 'Poor Old Soul', A' side of the 4th single by Orange Juice, indie-pop pioneer band from Glasgow, fronted by Edwyn Collins,
and on the other side:
- 'Just Like Gold', A' side of the debut single by indie C86-pioneer Scottish band Aztec Camera, fronted by Roddy Frame
A top rarity of the very infuential Scottish indie label and certainly a historic punk/new wave collectible - condition is great for an acetate.
