Frenchman in Berlin Etienne has appeared previously on Noir et Son and now appears for the second release of London imprint Undersound. "Dez" is soulful and emotive deep techno with its rusty and dusty drums evoking the ghost in the machine alongside some haunting Thomas Melchior style pads for added measure. The remix by up and coming fellow Frenchman TC80 follows in suit pursuing some early Detroit style high tech soul, which we're all suckers for! On the flip we've got the electro groove of "Sensed" with its drum machine breakbeat giving us a different groove which works a treat, supported by dark strings and booming bass.
