This is a superb collector's copy, a genuine first pressing of The Who's debut studio album released in the UK in December 1965 on the Brunswick label catalogue number LAT 8616 in Mono !!! RARE in this superb condition!
The vinyl has almost no paper scuffs and is virtually mint!
1st press characteristics: The run-out wax is stamped on side 1 (at 6 o'clock) MG-10256-1B and (at 12 o'clock) KT and on side 2 (at 6 o'clock) MG-10257-1B and (at 12 o'clock) KT
The black/silver labels show the number as LAT.8616 - this copy has only faint spindlewear EX! Silver lettering shows 'Long Playing microgroove record' under the Brunswick script Round the top edge is "ORIGINAL RECORDING AND LICENSED BY DECCA RECORDS INC NEW YORK U.S.A."
It comes with its original inner sleeve, and the record's beautiful cover is clarifoil laminated on the front and for 1 cm over the spine onto the rear as it is supposed to be EX+! The rear cover only credits Brown for track 2
This is one of the greatest albums of all time! It is an absolute must for the serious collector and I have never seen one in better condition! Bid for a chance to own this unique piece of rock & pop history!
