The renowned Californian act Pennywise were one of the biggest US punk bands of the 90's, racking up several hit albums. Despite a few hiccups, they are still going strong today. Theologian Records have teamed up with Hardline Entertainment to reissue the band's early recordings on an album entitled 'Nineteen Eighty Eight', the year that they were formed.  
The LP includes their 1989 EP's 'A Word From The Wise' and 'Wildcard' as well as their three contributions to Theologian's 'Soul Arch' compilation (including a cover of Black Flag's 'Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie') and their cover of Ben E. King's 'Stand By Me'. These have always been crowd favourites at the band's shows.
