THE BEATLES – “YESTERDAY AND TODAY” (T-2553), A 1966 MONO ISSUE with “TRUNK COVER”
RECORD: VG+ with numerous light scuff marks on both sides. However, these have very little effect on the audible performance. I test-played “YESTERDAY” & “AND YOUR BIRD CAN SING” and both songs played beautifully with great fidelity! This is an original MONO album from 1966. The labels are clean and original, with just a few spindle marks noticed.
COVER: VG with some light to moderate ring wear on both sides as well as some corner & edge wear. A tiny split has begun to the lower right, but I would classify it as “corner wear” at this early state. Someone obviously thought that if they peeled off the front slick, they would find the highly coveted “Butcher Cover” beneath it, as they began to peel the lower left corner away. Discouraged as they might have been, they glued it back down. The evidence of that remains, although it is not all that offensive to the aesthetics of the overall cover. Other than aforementioned detractions, there are no actual seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes on this cover; just simple wear.
INNER SLEEVE: A Capitol inner sleeve from the era, depicting two Beatles LP’s!
GOOD LUCK!
