I have been selling some very old records featuring a variety of musical
styles on behalf of a friend over the past few weeks and he has now
discovered another box so I am now listing these for sale. As I said
previously, they're not particularly my scene but I'll try to give very
accurate descriptions of the condition of the covers and the vinyls and I
have taken plenty of photographs for you to see exactly what you are
bidding on. They have all obviously been extremely well cared for
because the vast majority look like they've hardly ever been played at
all, even when angling the grooves to bright light there are virtually
no marks whatsoever, though I will try to give a good assessment of
every LP.
Here is Out Of The Blue by ELO on blue vinyl in superb condition with double blue vinyls, a poster and a die-cut model of a space ship!
The sleeve is in superb condition, with just very minimal wear to the bottom edge, but barring that it is a lovely and crisp sleeve, with a superb spine as can be seen on the photos. It has been stored (presumably from new judging by the condition) in a thick clear plastic outer sleeve which has protected it really well.
The inner sleeves are in superb condition with no creases or wear.
The space ship is all in tact and in superb uncreased condition and still on the master card, though I wouldn't want to handle it too much as they are quite loose on the card, but all the pieces are still on the sheet.
The vinyls are in superb unmarked condition, I played the LP earlier and it sounded beautifully crisp and clear. One label on each side of the 2 records has been lightly stamped with the stamp of a hospital as can be seen on the photos, so presumably their hospital radio were original owners of this 40 year old record, credit to the DJ, he certainly looked after this record well.
I will send the records very thoroughly
packaged in proper record mailers with protective card so that they
arrive with you in good condition. I will also send them recorded mail
which costs an extra quid, but I'd feel more confident that your records
will arrive safely with you that way.
