In Good Vinyl Condition
Good condition of 5 copies of 5 of the best Dolly Parton albums
from the mid 1970s to the early 1980s.
The first selection is her 1976 ‘All I Can Do’ which was nominated for a
Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal and has ten truly great track,
‘I’m a Drifter’, ‘Shattered Image’, ‘Boulder to Birmingham’, ‘Preacher Tom’
and her hit ‘All I Can Do’.
The next album is her 1977 ‘New Harvest... First Gathering’, it is significant
for being Parton’s first self-produced album, as well as her first effort aimed
specifically at the pop charts and it is brilliant. With ten songs and every one
a winner, ‘Applejack’, ‘Where Beauty Lives in Memory’, ‘(Your Love Has Lifted Me)
Higher and Higher’ and ‘You Are’ to name a few.
The third album is the 1977 ‘Here You Come Again’ and is her 19th solo studio album
which had the title song single ‘Here You Come Again’, scored #3 on the US pop charts.
Other songs include ‘It’s All Wrong, But It’s All Right’, ‘Cowgirl and the Dandy’,
and ‘Me and Little Andy’.
The fourth LP is the 1978 ‘Heartbreaker’ which continues her huge pop crossover success.
Ten classic songs like ‘We’re Through Forever (‘til Tomorrow)’ ‘Nickels and Dimes’,
‘Baby I’m Burning’ and the big hit ‘Heartbreaker’.
The last album is her major 1980 hit ‘9 to 5 and Odd Jobs’ a concept album about working,
the album was centered on Parton’s hit “9 to 5”, which served as the theme song to the film
she starred in of the same name. Other songs are ‘The House of the Rising Sun’, ‘Detroit City’,
‘Deportee (Plane Wreck At Los Gatos)’ and ‘Poor Folks’ Town’ to name just a few.
A truly great find of Dolly at the height of her talents.
Experience the music the way it was meant to be heard in all the warm tones
of its analog quality stereophonic vinyl sound and not the inferior audio of MP3s.
