DESCRIPTION
Al Cohn / Bill Perkins / Richie Kamuca - “The Brothers!” RCA Records LPM-1162 (Mono) from 1956. Great Jazz Album from former members of Woody Herman’s Herd Cohn, Perkins and Kamuca on an Original Deep Groove Black Label 1S/1S Mono Pressing! Along with the Tenor players the great band includes Hank Jones, Barry Galbraith, Chuck Flores, John Beal and Sam Beethoven.

CONDITION

The Sleeve shows very little actual wear but there is some slight corner softening and small creases in the two right hand corners. The back cover has a Name and Address stamp and two date stamps at the top as well as an old price tag that should be easily removable. Super solid with no splits, stains, writing, etc. and I would rate it as EX. The Vinyl itself is in Glossy, Pristine condition looking like it was probably only played a few times. If you look closely you can find a light sleeve scuff or two but nothing that affects play in any way. Plays pretty much perfectly and should easily rate Near Mint. The A-side label has a catalog sticker (probably removable) and there is a date written on both sides - I think it’s in pencil and so could probably be erased - there are a couple light spindle trails as well but the labels are otherwise Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less!
