Slade's first album(as Slade)from 1970 'PLAY IT LOUD' in VG+ condition throughout. This is the 1st UK pressing printed and made by the E.J. Day Group and with matrices:
2383 026 A-2
2383 026 B-2
The vinyl itself has retained a nice gloss with no dull areas. There are a few surface marks and hairlines from previous play but these are all fairly minor surprisingly for an album that is 46 years old. The album played with no jumps or skips. There is a some audible crackle here and there, mostly between tracks and during quiet moments but nothing major or that disturbs the sound quality which for the age of the album we considered very good plus to excellent. Labels are undamaged.
Outer picture sleeve has no major damage. There is some scuffing/ softening of the corners and edges with light storage ringwear. There is a small tear on the opening edge as shown and two stickers on the front of the album with writing on as shown. None of these points are too intrusive and the album cover has an overall nicely preserved look.
Inner original lined sleeve included.
I grade all of my records according to The Record Collector Magazines grading system.
I always test play my records on a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable with Ortofon cartridge stylus unless they are in near mint/ mint condition and appear unplayed but the description will state this. I don't sell records with deep scratches or marks that affect the sound quality and enjoyment.
All of our Vinyl is professionally cleaned using a Pro-Ject VC-S record cleaning machine.
The record is then packaged in a protective anti static sleeve and then posted in a robust top of the range custom cardboard record mailer.
