The Beatles: "Abbey Road" Apple PCS 7088 (UK Import)
3rd UK pressing from 1970 in TRUE STEREO, with glossy laminate Euro style jacket.
Characteristic features which identify this early pressing: Side 1 Matrix # in dead wax reads: YEX 749-4. Side 2 Matrix # in dead wax reads: YEX 750-3. A portion of the street drain is visible at the bottom on the front side jacket photo. (This "distraction" was edited out of front covers of later pressings.) "Her Majesty" is called out on the Side 2 label BUT NOT on the jacket. (Later pressings called out "Her Majesty" on both label and jacket.) The Apple logo on the back cover is aligned with the Side 1 track listing.
Vinyl: EX
The wax visibly looks "like new", with one largely cosmetic exception: a shallow surface scratch (approx. 1/2 inch long) is visible in the area of Track 1 on Side 2 ("Here Comes The Sun"). On careful listening, this shallow scratch yields 4-5 faintly discernible periodic "pops". That said, the balance of Side 2 and all of Side 1 are essentially flawless, with exceptional high gloss.
Overall, this LP provides a superb and wonderful listening experience of this brilliantly recorded album. Faint surface noise ("crackle") is audible between some tracks and during some quiet passages, characteristic of wax pressed in the 1970 time period.
Labels are bright and clean. No spindle marks.

Jacket: EX
Color photos and print are clear and bright on both the front and back of the jacket.
Shallow creases present in jacket corners and near borders, common to the thin glossy laminate Euro style jackets of that period.
Trace of ring wear present front and back.
Top & bottom seams and spine are essentially flawless. Spine print is crystal clear.
No splits, stickers, bar code.

Arguably The Beatles finest recording, this rare UK import is a true collectible. Hoping this gem goes to a good home.
My Profile / Policies:
Music is my passion. I’ve been a collector for more than 50 years and have thousands of records in my personal collection, focused largely on 50’s and 60’s rock ‘n’ roll. Recently retired, I look to downsize and sell select portions of my collection in hopes of financing future purchases of a few special pieces.
All records I offer are from my personal collection, each cleaned using my Nitty Gritty Record Cleaning Machine.
All are play graded (not just visually graded), employing Goldmine Price Guide standards.
As I take great care to accurately describe my items, I do not accept returns unless my item description is incorrect.
All records are packaged with the wax outside the jacket (to avoid seam split in transit), enclosed in a plastic sleeve and shipped in robust record mailer boxes via USPS Media Mail, tracking included.
International customers pay shipping costs and duties per the eBay Global Shipping Program guidelines.
Payment expected within 3 business days of auction closing.
