This is a Prince and the Revolution vinyl LP "Purple Rain", 1984 release.  It is still sealed in original shrink and has the "poster included" promo sticker and a K-Mart price sticker stuck to the outside of the shrink.
I don't quite know how to grade this record.  It has some strange defects, but also looks pretty good overall.  The promo sticker is torn and soiled as if it were spattered with some chemical that bleached the color out of it, and has scratches that have taken some color off.  The shrink wrap has cuts at the top, at least one of those cuts also has a scratched white line in the cover art.  There are lots of little pieces of dirt or sand inside the shrink. There may be some scratches in the cover art caused by these grains.  You can feel them when you run your hand across the shrink.  There's a creased corner, top right back (shown in the picture with the arrow) that doesn't really show up on the front. There are a couple creases on the left-hand side fo the front cover that aren't seen from the back. Something looks like sticker residue on the back bottom near the bar code but it may just be dirt.  All four corners are bumped, bottom right has a little color flaking where it has poked through the shrink wrap.  The promo sticker is starting to peel up at the lower right corner of the sticker.  On the plus side, it lays nice and flat, looks good at first glance, no smells, no mildew, no water damage.  I can't inspect the vinyl, since the record is sealed, but it seems OK when I handle the record.  But I can't make any guarantees about the vinyl since I can't see it.
