For Record Store Day 2017, UMC, USM and Mercury are proud to reveal Elton John ‘17-11-70+’, an expanded two LP edition of the 1970 live session at A&R studios in New York, USA.
Originally released in 1971, ‘17-11-70’ was Elton John’s first ever live album. Presented here in a new expanded edition, Disc 1 features the original album remastered in 2016 by Bob Ludwig, with Disc 2 featuring 7 additional tracks – 6 previously unreleased songs, plus the 1995 bonus track 'Amoreena'.
The previously unreleased songs, mixed by long-time Elton John collaborator Matt Still in Atlanta, are: ‘Indian Sunset’, ‘Your Song’, ‘Country Comfort’, ‘I Need You To Turn To’, ‘Border Song’, & ‘My Father’s Gun’, with 'Amoreena' also mixed by Matt Still from the original multitracks for this release.
