Grading
We take grading very seriously and strive to be as conservative as possible. However, we are human and sometimes mistakes can happen, if you feel we have made a mistake please send us an email before leaving feedback so we can resolve the issue. ALWAYS listen to the clips provided, sometimes African LPs will play different to the way they look due to poor storage. Soundclips are recorded on technics 1200s with ortofon nightclub headshells and bounced down to 192kbps mp3.
(M) Absolutely perfect in every way. Certainly never been played, possibly even still sealed.
(NM) A nearly perfect record. No scratches, marks or signs of use, the cover will be near perfect.
(EX) Sits somewhere between NM and VG+, the record may have a few light scuffs visible under light.
(VG+) Will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it.
Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect the listening experience too much. Slight warps that do not affect the sound may be present but will feature in the record description.
(VG) Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise may be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music. Groove wear may start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. This record should be in good enough condition to play out in a bar or a club.
(G+) This will play through without skipping. The record may have several scratches and some deep enough to feel with a fingernail. Substantial groove wear may be present.
(G) This record will play through without skipping but may have significant surface noise and many marks and scratches.
(P) The record is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. In general, we will only sell a P record if it is significantly rare.
