The Allman Brothers Band :  "Brothers And Sisters" LP

This is the original 1973 US pressing with a gatefold jacket.

Includes the original insert sheet with track listing and credits ... and a tribute to founding member and original bassist Berry Oakley, who died the previous year.  Ironically, Oakley died in a motorcycle accident one year after and three blocks away from the very spot where Duane Allman died in a motorcycle accident.

Features three songs penned by Dicky Betts that proved to be hugely popular and were played live in years to follow: "Ramblin' Man", "Southbound" and the extended instrumental classic "Jessica".

The rollout of this album in 1973 was troubled by multiple printing errors, making these original releases more collectible.  This release had the following printing errors:

1) The label on side 2 is wrongly identical to that on side 1.  (The LP correctly plays the side 2 tracks on side 2.  Only the label on side 2 is in error.)

2) The insert sheet included in the gatefold lists "Early Morning Blues" in place of "Jelly Jelly" (track A4).  And neither are listed on the rear of the gatefold jacket. 

To confirm this as original US pressing, note the printing errors cited above, the photos of the labels and the matrix numbers etched in the dead wax:

Vinyl:  Near Mint

The wax looks and plays "like new", with only the very lightest of inner paper sleeve scuff marks seen under bright light (not under normal light).  Excellent sound quality on this well recorded album.

Exceptionally high gloss.

Labels look like new, clean and bright with no spindle marks ... with one exception:  the label on side 2 has the number "2" written over the wrongly printed "I", to correctly identify side 2.  (See comment above regarding label printing error.)

Jacket:  Near Mint

The gatefold jacket is just a bit shy of "like new", with only minor rub wear present on some corners.

Front and back jacket photos remain highly glossy.

Inside jacket photo and track / credit listings look "like new".

Spine print is crystal clear.

The original track listing / credits insert sheet is included and is in very good condition, flawed only by a bend in the lower left corner and a couple of shallow creases in the upper right corner.
