MUSICORAMA No 14 - ITALIAN LIBRARY Lp by ENRICO RICCARDI and FERDINANDO ONESTI. Original Italian promo pressing on RITMI e CANZONI label (R. e C. 2), from 1972. Desirable release from the ever impressive Musicorama series. Track for track, this one rivals many of the big money Italian Library with giallo thriller cum Poliziottesco OST sound. A seductive mix of hippie mood music from sublime scat vocals over easy tempo rock 'n' bossa / tropical hammond lounge with congas to killer psychedelic themes with fuzz distortions / wah wah / hard piano and thunderous break-beat drums. In retrospect, the vocalist is maybe not Edda as the phrasing sounds like a younger, less sophisticated singer. Tres sexy none the less, with a cinematic, whispering beauty :) Our soundclip opens with the funky sleaze of FURTO DI UNA GROSSA CILINDRATA with deranged, acid rock guitars a la Frog Psychomania / UK Hammer Horror productions / Portishead etc. Even more frantic beats and delirious guitar shredding on NEVROSI DA TRAFFICO with Silvano Chimenti possibly playing the electrifying leads(?) We have also recorded the Brazilian summer ambience of AMORE IN VERSILIA / STORIA D'OGGI / ROMANZO NEL BOSCO (described as "sunbeams among trees" on the back sleeve) and AEROPORTO ROSA. Our soundclip finishes with NEL GIARDINO DI UN ATTICO with its AOR tinged, soft rock and hip hop tempo groove. Refreshingly long arrangements for an Italian Library too. Same cult series that brought you the Carlo Pes / Bruno Lauzi Library with alternative versions from Un Uomo Dalla Pelle Dura and the Babadaba theme from Umberto Lenzi's Oasis Of Fear sexploitation classic. Please also see our other current auctions for the elusive Musicorama N.7. For us, the hottest in the series and the grail with the strung-out masterpiece "Beat Requiem" amongst other experimental jazz themes ;) Unusual choice of sleeve artwork for Musicorama N.14 showing an Edwardian horse-drawn carriage. Rare Library Lp!!! Full tracklisting: AMORE IN VERSILIA / NEVROSI DA TRAFFICO / AEROPORTO ROSA / NEL GIARDINO DI UN ATTICO / FURTO DI UNA GROSSA CILINDRATA / STORIA D'OGGI / ROMANZO NEL BOSCO

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG+ condition with faint hairlines and some scuffs. Loud pressing. Light surface noises. A few soft pops / soft ticks in places (as you can hear on our soundclip). The laminated sleeve is in VG++ condition overall regardless of any light wear or blemishes from storage. Speckled mini dirt spots to the laminate that all the Ritmi e Canzoni (and Fama / iller / Jubal / Pegaso label releases) seem to have. Some dirt staining across the top seam area of back sleeve and some general crease lines and light marks from storage (mostly to front sleeve). Still a sharp looking item. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Rare Library Lp!!!

Please feel free to contact us with any condition queries you may have preferably before bidding. We will get back to you asap.
