CIAK SI MUORE aka CLICK... SHE DIES aka CLAP, YOU'RE DEAD OST Lp by ALDO BUONOCORE. Original Italian pressing on CiPiTi label (OK 10), from 1974. Outstanding, B-movie soundtrack for an obscure giallo thriller / psychedelic horror film set in Turin. A seedy, low-budget oddity with super-sleazy grindhouse aesthetic of the period... cheap thrill nudity / bikers dressed up in Satanik cum Danger Diabolik leather fetish outfits / a shadowy murderer wearing yellow latex gloves etc. The slasher death scene image on the back sleeve is just as visceral as the fabulously sinister and funky mood music. The score should really be credited to Gianluigi Pezzera (of Le Groupe X / Vietnam infamy) as he brings a supernatural / experimental edge to Buonocore's cinematic arrangements. Certain trax have similar motifs and nuances to his Frrrrrigidaire Lp and Transfert 2002 single so he was definitely at the controls in the studio. Killer psychedelic funk for DJs with insane hippie flute solos / breaks and basslines that explode midway LA FESTA and Vampires Of Dartmoore style exploitation with creepy electronics on L'ISPETTORE / L'INDIZIATO and SUSPENCE IN CLINICA. The treated guitar sounds and underground mood also remind us of cult French group, Acanthus (used by Jean Rollin for his Le Frisson Des Vampires movie). The 5/4 tempo L'ASSASSINO is actually an alternative dub version of Pezzera's Transfert 2002 theme... jazzy hammond funk with acid rock and broken beats. L'ASSASSINO SMASCHERATO contains echoed studio FX / treated congas and strings like something from Sorgini's Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue. Lots of moody riffs and spooky sounds on here. The disturbing white noise electronics sample opening our soundclip, was edited from the finale of GIALLO AL CIMITERO. LA FINE DI FANNY is the track used before (and during) the head-smashing, murder-in-the-shower scene. Other trax are also variations on a theme, with beautiful lounge orchestrations and haunting piano. Obsessive and filmic with that melancholic early '70s sound. A personal favourite Italian soundtrack ;) Striking, pop art illustrations inside the gatefold too ;) Rare OST Lp!!! Full tracklisting: CIAK SI MUORE / OMICIDIO / GIALLO AL CIMITERO / L'ISPETTORE / L'INDIZIATO / LA SCALA A CHIOCCIOLA / L'ASSASSINO / L'INSEGUIMENTO / SI GIRA / LA FESTA / LA FINE DI FANNY / SUSPENCE IN CLINICA / L'ASSASSINO SMASCHERATO / THE END

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, VG++ condition overall, regardless of any hairlines and faint scuffs. Some light surface noises. Superb production sound. A few soft pops / soft ticks in places (as you can hear on our soundclip). The soft card gatefold sleeve with pop art illustrations / biker scene and shocking, voyeuristic stills from the movie is in VG++ condition overall, regardless of any ring dirt marks / rub marks from storage (mostly to the back sleeve). Some light wear to spine side corners. Back sleeve spine edge has a few wear marks / abrasions. Small stain mark to front sleeve (below the top left corner area). Some small creasing indentations here and there, from storage. Still a sharp looking item. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Rare OST Lp!!!
