History of this item:
I live near Edison's Winter Home Museum (in Ft. Myers, Florida) and was visiting a local re-sell shop within walking distance of the estate. While going through a box of Edison 78's, I found this at the bottom of the box. I have inquired about the item from various record collectors and discovered some of it's history. It's a PROMOTIONAL carrying bag for customers who purchased multiple Edison records from a phonograph retailer!

Employees would place the purchased 78's inside this bag for the trip back home. Edison was no stranger to self-promotion, so this item features stunning graphics and information pertaining to Edison Record's current crop of recording artists.
This item dates from around 1910 (could be earlier).

None of the historians had ever seen one before and labeled the item as incredibly rare. Obviously most of these were thrown out or fell apart over the years. This item is obviously not mint - you can judge the condition from the photos.

I am not sure if the records and this rare promotional item were discarded by the Edison Museum, but considering they were found a stone's throw from the estate, it's a pretty good guess that they are connected.
This would look absolutely stunning in a fame, or a museum that specializes in turn of the century history or record collecting.
THANKS FOR LOOKING - If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask. The item will be packed with care to assure it's safe arrival to it's final destination.
