100% Pure Poison were formed in 1974 by nine American soldiers based in West Germany. During a period of leave, they popped down to Cannes in France to perform, were spotted by EMI Records, and were flown to London to record what turned out to be their only album, Coming Right At You. The record flopped at the time, but has since become sought-after amongst Northern Soul collectors. The two tracks here are taken from that set, and appear on 7" for the first time since the '70s. A-side "You Keep Coming Back" is a near perfect, heartfelt soul anthem- think eyes-closed vocals, sustained horns and Motown harmonies - while "My Little Someone" is a slower, more impassioned cut destined to soundtrack tender moments.
