Attended by members of the royal family, Status Quo’s show for the
Princes Trust at the NEC was one of the bands most famous and talked
about gigs in their history. Recorded on May 14th 1982, the show existed
in two recorded parts, one a album released on Universal and the other
broadcast on the BBC. This release combines the two shows in a 3-LP format for the first time. The show captures the show in full
flight with a set list combining the best of their hits along with
tracks from their various albums – one of the highlights being a 23
minute version of 4500 Hundred times. This set with notes by Dave Ling
who has gone back and done interviews with the band, the package has a
28 page booklet packed with memorabilia, the Vinyl has been
re-mastered by Andy Pearce.
