It's been 22 years since New York post-hardcore group Quicksand's previous album 'Manic Compression', in which time the band have been through tempestuous times of recording, touring and repeatedly splitting and reforming. Now seemingly out of choppy waters, third full-length 'Interiors' is their explosive return. There's plenty to sink your teeth into, with the incendiary single 'Illuminant', the chugging 'Cosmonauts', and the anthemic 'Fire This Time' contrasting from the calmer ambient interludes '>' and '>>'. As comeback albums go, 'Interiors' is a powerhouse of a record that cuts and thrusts in a vein of seedy and raw post-hardcore grunge as rejuvenated recently by UK bands like Royal Blood and Drenge.
