This is actually the Chocolate Watch Band, trying to beat Davie Allan & the Arrows to the punch
with the cycle classic "Blue's Theme". Yet it's the freaky B-side that deservedly gets most of the
attention. No, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention are not on "Loose Lip Sync Ship", but
they certainly influenced it. After the rudimentary "Gossamer Wings" track that opens the song,
all hell breaks loose. starting with a 50s doo-wop inspired recitation about the singer's complexion,
and ending with a crazy version of "Row Row Row Your Boat"! In between we hear a jazz break
that breaks down, and learn that "freaks are for kids!" It's surf, garage, psych, jazz, and even a
touch of doo wop, all in three minutes!
