1955 Columbia House Party Series CL2579, the Carl Smith self titled 10” vinyl LP album.

This mono recording features all three of Carl’s Billboard top charting Country hits including his No. 1 hit “Loose Talk,” as well as No. 3 “There She Goes” and No. 7 “I Feel Like Cryin.’ Also includes Smith’s popular “Trademark” as well as two other songs.

As some of Smith’s music featured fast phrasing and strong drumbeats, one could consider his music a stepping a stone from country to rockabilly, which was a small but rising new genre at that time.

Columbia 6 eye pressing is a high shine album play-graded VG+ with no major issues, snaps, crackles, pops or skips. Some faint intermittent surface noise. A slight paper scuff from liner visible, but nothing that affects playback quality.

Labels are super clean with bright colors and easy to read text, no visible wear and only a couple of very faint spindle trails.

Jacket is graded VG+ with no seam splits or marks. Some age wear as seen in photos, nothing major. Corners are still crisp, unusual for an album of this age.

Ships with a high quality paper liner, 4mm courtesy poly jacket sleeve and professional grade packaging to protect your investment. 14 day money back guarantee for your peace of mind, buyer pays return shipping.
