CONDITION DETAILS Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). Cover looks great; a few creases near edges; very light-scuffing and surface impressions (front/back); slight discoloration on back. Inner-sleeve is original (photos/lyrics); seams partially split. Spine is easy-to-read with very mild-wear. Little shelf-wear along top-edge, much heavier wear along bottom-edge. Minor wear to top corners, heavier wear to bottom corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and a few divots. (Not a cut-out.)

ABOUT THE RECORD Punch the Clock, by Elvis Costello and The Attractions, features Costello's first US Top 40 hit, Everyday I Write the Book (No. 36 Hot 100, No. 28 UK). It was produced by Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley, who also produced Costello's following album, Goodbye Cruel World. It was ranked as the No. 1 "Album of the Year" for 1983 by NME; thirty years later, the magazine ranked it at No. 345 in its list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time".
