ELVIS PRESLEY - “ELVIS' CHRISTMAS ALBUM” (LPM-1951), A FIRST PRESSING FROM 1959                RECORD: VG- with much original gloss! However, there are many light surface scuffs seen on both sides. The worst of these scratches is on "Silent Night", so this track was test-played. Although there were no skips or repeats, there is a very noticeable audible "tick" that repeats for several revolutions. It does override the music and constitutes the assigned grade. The remainder of this Rockaway pressing will play better. The labels are very attractive and original, but do show some spindle marks. There has been some debate as to weather this album was released in 1958 as originally thought, or as the catalog number dictates, in 1959. If the latter is correct, then the original 1957 Christmas Album carried over to 1958 instead of being just a "one-year-issue". The Matrix numbers end with 13S (Stamped)/11S (Engraved).    COVER: VG with an upper seam split of 4 inches as well as a central, lower edge break of 2 inches. Some additional edge and corner wear is observed. The spine shows some wear as well, although it is mostly legible. Ring wear is present, although very light on both sides. There is a light water stain along the base of the cover, seen mostly on the back side. A trace amount of odor emanates as a result. Overall, An attractive cover!    INNER SLEEVE:  Plain white.
