LED ZEPPELIN LIVE LOS ANGELES FORUM 1970
This is one of the first live bootlegs ever recorded. This concert has superb sound
quality for a 1970 non-soundboard recording! This is one of the
hardest Zep Boots to find, according to a few of the LZ Bootleg
Discography sites I have visited. The beautiful performance of
'Bron-yr-aur 6 years prior to
its studio debut on "Physical Graffiti", is always a treat as is 'Thank
You', which, sadly, didn't remain in Zep's set-list for too long.
Nevertheless,
this show is so incredible and captures the band during an extremely
special time in their storied history. Robert Plant's voice is still
another musical instrument, Jimmy Page's guitar work alternately soars
and soothes, John Paul Jones' (Personally, I think he was the best
overall musician in the group) bass, mandolin, keyboards always are just
perfect and, of course, John Bonham's thunderous drumming, are all on
display on this recording. It is a must-have.
