ABOUT THE RECORD History: America's Greatest Hits, by the folk rock trio America, was a success in the United States, reaching number 3 on the Billboard album chart and being certified multi-platinum by the RIAA. The first seven tracks of the album were remixed by George Martin (the original recording engineer) for this release. For example, Martin added a layer of fiddles to Don't Cross The River, and boosted the bass and slowed down the pitch a quarter-tone on I Need You.
