1966 mono issue on US Capitol T 2553. This has the original “butcher cover” underneath the front slick (“second state”). Ringo’s black shirt is faintly visible and the cover measures slightly less side to side than other 1960s Beatles albums. It was trimmed at the factory after the new cover was affixed. The back cover has the number 6 near the bottom right.
Record is near-mint.
Cover is VG/VG+, with a small tear in the front cover slick at the top right corner, some ring wear, a soft corner at the bottom right, and the spine printing is shifted toward the front.
