Evaluation criteria for records
the LP classification is as follows:
M (mint) = new (unplayed!)
M- (mint-) = record and cover in top condition
M-- (mint--) = plate has minimal extraneous noises, but with a tendency towards M-, cover has minimal signs of wear
VG ++ (very good ++) = plate has slight extraneous noises, has fine hair scratches, cover is slightly worn
VG + (very good +) = played more often, but condition is ok, slight extraneous noises due to hair scratches, cover has worn corners, ringwear, seam split or similar. -> This condition is satisfactory for most collectors!
VG (very good) = Frequent external noises, but no jumpers or hangers, cover clearly worn
