Andy Votel & Demdike Stare's Pre-Cert Home Entertainment label has pressed up a YouTube meditation video to vinyl for the second time. The first side features spoken word snippets in a range of foreign languages. Some are whispered and soft, others more manic and transcendental, and they often sound like vocal acrobatics that tie your mind in knots. Acting almost like rhythmic pulses, then are embellished with soft synth drones that serve to sooth your psyche. "Void" on the flip is another similar exercise with equally beguiling and brilliant results.
