It’s acknowledged that 12 inch singles sound much better than 7 inch as the grooves are farther apart so the track can be mastered at a higher volume. I listen to every record I sell on my home hi-fi system before listing, so you can have every confidence that the grading system I use reflects actual playback as well as vinyl condition. Please note that records are graded on the A side only but the B side will be in a very similar condition.

Grading System

Near Mint - the vinyl will show very light signs of play,no heavier than fine micro-lines from being removed from sleeve. The track will play without any distortion at all save the odd click / pop before the track starts / when it ends.

 The sleeve may have very light corner wear / edge wear

Excellent -the vinyl will show light signs of play which may include some light surface scratching. There will be more noticeable clicks / pops as the track starts / when it ends but the rest of the track will be unaffected.

The sleeve will show some light ring-wear / corner wear / edge wear.

Very Good- the vinyl will show some signs of play including light scuffing,and light scratches may be evident. The track may have limited background noise during some parts of play but this will not over-power the sound quality.

The sleeve will show wear that includes more obvious creasing, edge-wear or more significant ring-wear.
