ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA – “OUT OF THE BLUE” (JTLA-823-L2) FIRST PRESSING FROM 1977 WITH ALL INSERTS!

RECORD: VG++ (EXC) and very close to NM! There are just a small number of extremely light surface scuffs and marks that cannot be felt with the fingertip. This double album was test-played in its entirety and exhibited great high fidelity with no skips or repeats! A few minor “ticks” were detected, but nothing to override the listening enjoyment. The four labels are simply beautiful with no writing or stickers ever. Just some very light spindle marks noticed on inspection. This album was released in October of 1977 and many refer to it as “the ultimate E.L.O. album”. Included are the hits, “Turn To Stone”, “Mr. Blue Sky” and “Sweet Talkin' Woman”. 

COVER: VG++ (EXC) with no seam separations, tape, writing or unwanted stickers present. Although there is quite minimal ring wear present, there is an unusual scrape pattern on the lower portion, seen more on the back than the front. The strange thing about it is that it appears to be a sort of net or spider web being ejected from the “space ship”! However, it IS a scrape, nonetheless. There is some very minor upper and lower edge wear as well as the usual wear seen at the corner tips. The inside of the gate fold cover remains unscathed. The two custom inner sleeves show some ring wear. 

SPACE SHIP PUNCH-OUT CARD: VG++ (EXC) with all items intact on the card except for the wide portion of the piece which states “ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA” (three planets show above that). The perforated center of the card shows a little wear, although there are no separations. As you’re viewing the card closed, there is a minor corner bend to the lower left (perforation side). This is a really fine piece and difficult to find intact!

POSTER: VG++ (EXC) with just a very tiny sliver of a tear to the left of the center fold. There is also some subtle handling wrinkles. There is no evidence that this poster was ever tacked or taped to a wall!

ORDER FORM: VG+ with several bend marks to the right edge and just beside “ELO SOUVENIR OFFER”. A hard diagonal crease is to the lower left corner looking at the same side of the flyer. There is no writing anywhere on this order form. Gotta love those late 70’s hairstyles!
