CONDITION DETAILS WHITE-LABEL PROMO. HYPE-STICKER on front. 12" Single. Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). Generic black cover looks great; a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, surface impressions, and tiny surface abrasions (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine has no text and shows mild-wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use. (Not a cut-out.)

ABOUT THE RECORD Just a Friend, by Mario, is the first single from his first studio album Mario which was a loose cover of Biz Markie's hit, Just a Friend. Mario's version is quite different, as the story is changed from a man who discovers his girlfriend has been cheating on him, to a story about unrequited love. The single was produced by Warryn "Baby Dubb" Campbell and written by Warryn "Baby Dubb" Campbell, Harold Lilly, John Smith and Biz Markie. It outperformed Markie's 1989 version on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at No. 4 on August 24, 2002 while Markie's peaked at No. 9
