New 180g LP Sealed Vinyl. Random is the thirteenth solo studio album by Argentine musician Charly Garcia, released in 2017. The album was released after two worrying hospitalizations of the artist in December 2016, so the release took his fans by surprise. Random had been announced in mid-2016, but without a clear release date at the time. Charly signed a contract with Sony Music on January 24, 2017, being released later the day of the album's release. It was recorded before Charly's hospitalization in 2008. The work connects with different stages of his career, from his childhood to the days of excess, still inheriting some of the electronic sound of the most recent works (Rock and Roll Yo from 2003 and Kill Gil). Random mixes catchy tunes with some planned chaos (one of the concepts that has dominated Charly's work since the 90s), always accompanied by self-referential and ironic lyrics. The album is the result of several demos recorded over the past years at home.
