To coincide with the release of the remix version of the 100 Gecs album, the St Louis-raised duo of the same name has decided to reissue their much-lauded 2019 debut. As critics pointed out at the time (and have done ever since), it's one of the most breathless and imaginative electro-pop albums of recent times, with the pair excitedly mixing and matching elements of hip-hop, grime, trap, synth-wave, synth-pop, dubstep, IDM, experimental electronica, grubby pop-punk, gabber and a myriad of other styles, all served with lashings of vocals put through an auto-tune filter. It's utterly bonkers, to be honest, but undeniably thrilling.
