Vinyl:  Playback EX+ to NM- Graded, sounds awesome!  Heavy thick deep grove vinyl is visually ex- only due to some ultra light marks and paper scratches, full of original luster and shine and no serious marks that affect the awesome playback. Beautiful example of this 1st Monarch pressing! Gold Elektra Labels are nice VG with some spindle impressions on both sides (obviously played on a 1960's record player that had a sharp spindle top, still look nice with no writing or stickers. Side one Label has the ultra rare and strange misprint: Break On Through (To The Oher Side). This is the Original 1967 Elektra 1st Pressing!  EKS-74007.   This is the audiophile acclaimed Monarch variation, pressed at Monarch Record Mfg. Co., Los Angeles, CA! Listen for the sounds of excellence from Monarch, silkier vocals, warmer, deeper bass and drums.   Perhaps one of the finest debuts in rock 'n roll history, enter The Lizard King, Jim Morrison with underrated guitar satyr Krieger, Meditation acolyte Densmore and the stoic Manzarek pulling off bass duties with the left hand and melody with the right...A brilliant journey into the Heart of Darkness.   One of Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All-Time!  allmusic gives it 5 stars!!
