La Hija de la Lagrima is the seventh solo studio album by Argentine musician Charly Garcia. The highly publicized rock-opera was released in July 1994, just in the month of the AMIA Attack on the 18th. As such, this work includes many instrumental and virtuosic passages. It was presented in September in ten "chaotic" packed performances at the Opera Theater. The story of how the album was created says that Garcia was in Barcelona (Spain), when he hears two old ladies fighting and hears one say to the other, after hitting him with a flip-flop: "Don't ever forget that I am the daughter of the tear "; that Dantesque painting was what Charly needed as inspiration for his album. The song Chipi chipi, is one of his most successful songs, in which he was considered the 81st best Argentine rock song on the list of The 100 Argentine rock hits of Rolling Stone magazine.
